There's a secret in our culture and it's not that birth is painful.

It's that women are strong.

Why North Sound Birth?

Studies have shown that when mothers look back at their birth experiences it’s not the place of birth, whether it was medicated or unmedicated, vaginal or cesarean, in a home or in a hospital that determines whether their memories are positive or negative. Overwhelmingly that determination is made by whether they felt cared for, supported, and in control of the decisions made about their bodies and their babies. At North Sound Birth our first priority is making sure that you have all of the information and support you need to have whatever kind of birth you choose.
